Roadhead for trek	:	From Delhi fly to Bagdogra and from here its 90 kms (3 hrs) drive to Darjeeling. From Darjeeling its another 30 kms drive to the small settle ment of Maneybhanjang.

The trek from Singalila Ridge to Sandakphu follows the famous Singalila Ridge, a prominent spur of high ground that lies at the southern end of a long crest, which runs down from the Kangchenjunga massif and forms the border between Sikkim and Nepal. One of the unavoidable necessities of trekking in the Himalaya is that the best views are had from high up but the trek along this ridge, passing through small settlements, is perhaps the most scenically rewarding in the Himalaya. There are spectacular panoramic views of Kangchenjunga, Makalu, Everest, Lhotse and a host of other peaks all seen in one stretch.

DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY

DAY 01

Delhi – Bagdogra – Maneybhanjang (1981 m/6498 ft)

DAY 01	:	Delhi – Bagdogra – Maneybhanjang (1981 m/6498 ft)
Board the Jet airways flight from Delhi to Bagdogra (arrival at 12:15 p.m). From here drive to Maneybhanjang (120 kms/ 4 hrs approx). Overnight in a guest house.

Day 02	:	Maneybhanjang (1981 m/6498 ft) – Jaubari (2750 m/ 9020 ft)/ Garibas (2621 m)
Starts on the trek early in the morning. Today walk for 16 kms to Jaubari or 20 kms to Garibas. From a small ridge top settlement enroute one can catch tantalizing glimpses of the Kangchenjunga as trails passes in a zig zag manner through rhododendrons. Overnight stay in a tea house.

Day 03	:	Jaubari/Garibas - Sandakphu (3636 m/11927 ft)
Today we climb towards the Singalila Ridge. This is a perfect walk that holds a huge potential for bird watching. From here its a steady haul upto Sandakphu. From here whole majestic view of snowy ranges of Bhutan,Sikkim and Nepal, about 320 kms is visible. The gigantic and towering kangchenjunga with other peaks, kabru, Kumbhakarna and Pandim, dominates the scene. Overnight stay in a tea house. Today you will walk for about 16/12 kms.

Day 04	:	Sandakphu – Rimbik (2331 m/7646 ft) – Darjeeling
Today it’s a steep climb down till Rimbik. It’s a 16 kms trek today. From Rimbik take a taxi and drive to Darjeeling (85 kms’ 3 hrs). In the evening explore the local market at Darjeeling. Stay overnight in a hotel.

Day 05	:	Darjeeling – Bagdogra – Delhi
Explore Darjeeling in the morning towards noon drive to Bagdogra and from there catch the Jet airways flight for Delhi at 2:30 p.m. Arrive in Delhi at 4:30 p.m

Day 06	:	Dharansi Pass – Hitoli Campsite (2900 m/9512 ft) (12 kms/5-6 hrs)
Today we go through Jhandi Dhar a steep descent of 4.5 km to the Hitoli camp site through thick forests of Rhododendron, Birch and Fir. Overnight at Camp.

Day 07	:	Hitoli Campsite – Joshimath (1890 m/6199 ft) (8 kms/3-4 hrs)
The trek go through the village of Tolma to the road head from where it is a 30 km drive to Joshimath. The trek is through thick forests. Overnight at Joshimath.

Day 08	:	Joshimath – Haridwar
After breakfast drive down to Haridwar.

DAY 02

Maneybhanjang (1981 m/6498 ft) – Jaubari (2750 m/ 9020 ft) / Garibas (2621 m)

DAY 03

Jaubari/Garibas - Sandakphu (3636 m/11927 ft)

DAY 04

Sandakphu – Rimbik (2331 m/7646 ft) – Darjeeling

DAY 05

Darjeeling – Bagdogra – Delhi

Cost Includes

•	Transport: All road transfers. Taxi will pick you from the airport and take you to the start of the trek on May 5. On May 8 this taxi will pick you from the finishing point and take you to Darjeeling. On May 9 the taxi will drop you to Bagdogra airport from Darjeeling.
•	Accommodation in a hotel in Darjeeling and in tea houses on double sharing basis while on the trek.
•	Meals: All meals beginning with lunch on May 5 to breakfast on May 9. Meals would be a mix of Indian, Chinese & Continental.

-	21-30 days: 75% of trip cost will be refunded (after deducting any expenses that have been incurred for hotel bookings, transport, etc.)
-	14-21 days: 50% of trip cost will be refunded (after deducting any expenses that have been incurred for hotel bookings, transport, etc.)
-	<14 days: No refund
